Steak and Salad

Monday was a partial epic fail on the grilled steak and accompanying salad.  Here's the evidence.

The stuff for the lemon vinaigrette, thyme, lemon juice, red pepper, honey, shallots, olive oil and salt.

The steak ready to hit the grill.  Here's where the epic fail part comes in.  At this point, I had let the grill run for 25 minutes or so and it hadn't gotten above 275 degrees.  I gave it a quick shot on the grill and quickly realized that it wasn't going to work.  So I switched to a cast iron skillet on the stove.

I'd say it worked out all right.
