Beef Curry

So Tuesday night was curry night, beef curry to be specific, which is a bit unusual because in many areas of India the cow is considered sacred.


All the stuff for the curry, chickpeas, jalapeno, tumeric, ginger, cumin, onion, water, beef, coriander, garlic tomatoes and salt.

The recipe doesn't call for this, but I'm a big fan of searing off the meat prior to braising.  So here is the cubed beef seasoned with salt and pepper ready to go into the pan.

The onions and garlic get sauteed.

The beeef and tomatoes join in the fun.

The water completes the pot for a 30 minute braise.
